This website is run by ChannelTeq Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09128178). Our registered office is c/o KKVMS LLP, 15 Glade Path, London SE1 8EG, and our office is at Barn 1, Ockham Park Farm, Surrey GU23 6NG.
ChannelTeq Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, email info@channelteq.com or call 020 3355 2539.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It also sets out your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When you use the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect the details you enter: your name, company, email address, phone number, site postcode, type of site, the services you are interested in and any message you add.
We use these details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site survey and prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
We will not add you to a marketing list or send you marketing emails unless you separately agree to this.
If you email or phone us, we use the details you give us in the same way.
Our web server keeps a standard log of each request made to the website. Each entry records the IP address of the device making the request, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type. We use these logs only to keep the website secure and working, and to investigate faults or misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
We do not use analytics or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Our website does not set any cookies.
The Site Portal and Staff Portal pages, which are for ChannelTeq staff, store a single setting in your browser so that the page can open the portal directly the next time you use it. This setting contains no personal data, is not sent to us, and is strictly necessary for the service you have asked for. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's stored data for this website.
Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so no third party receives your details when you load a page.
We use the following service providers to run this website and handle enquiries. They process personal data only on our instructions:
(a) Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website on servers in London; and
(b) Google, which provides our email and the service that delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.
We may also share personal data with our professional advisers and insurers where necessary, or where the law requires us to.
We do not sell your personal data.
Google may process data outside the UK. Where it does, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
If your enquiry does not lead to work with us, we delete your details within 24 months of our last contact with you.
If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as we work together and then for six years, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
You have the right to:
(a) ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
(b) ask us to correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete;
(c) ask us to delete your personal data;
(d) ask us to restrict how we use your personal data;
(e) object to our use of your personal data where we rely on our legitimate interests; and
(f) ask us to transfer your personal data to another organisation, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, email info@channelteq.com. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
